Griffin & Prescott began with a conversation between two trial lawyers who believed that the most consequential legal matters were being handled by firms organized around growth rather than judgment. They started a practice built on the opposite premise: senior-led from the first call to the final resolution, integrated across practice areas where matters required it, and candid with clients about the realistic range of outcomes.

That first conversation produced a firm philosophy that remains intact today. We hire lawyers who could practise anywhere. We invest in long-term client relationships rather than transactional engagements. And we maintain teams deep enough to handle the most complex matters while small enough that clients always know who is responsible for their case.

From an initial office in Houston, we have grown to six offices across the United States and Europe — but the principle of partner-led engagement has not changed. Our clients today include multinational corporations, financial institutions, sovereign-related entities, and the executives and families whose personal-life questions intersect with the broader firm practice. The firm has grown; the standard has not.
