Pro bono representation is a core part of how Griffin & Prescott practises law. Every lawyer at the firm — from first-year associates to Managing Partners — is expected to take on pro bono engagements, and the firm formally credits pro bono hours alongside billable hours in compensation decisions.
Our pro bono practice focuses on areas where our institutional legal capabilities translate most directly to under-served clients: immigration and asylum work, criminal defense and post-conviction relief, civil-rights litigation, education-access matters, and counsel to non-profit organizations.
Pro bono engagements are coordinated by a dedicated firm committee that evaluates referrals, matches matters to lawyers with relevant expertise, and oversees ongoing quality. Referring organizations are welcome to contact the committee at probono@griffinandprescott.com.
